Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho could be on his way to the Chinese Super League after his former boss at Manchester City Manuel Pellegrini listed his name among the players he want in China.
Pellegrini gave the Super Eagles forward the chance last season at the Etihad stadium, and he is now the handler of Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune.
This season under new Manchester City manager, Kelechi Iheanacho has been ousted out of the first team as Gurdiola prefer injured Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero upfront.
“ I have worked with a whole lot of players, but some I feel I won’t love working with them in the nearest future but I won’t mind luring some to join me in China.
“The young players I have worked with in the past are the ones I strongly feel we could work together again before I retire, there are many like Iheanacho, but I know he is very happy at Manchester City,'' Pellegrini said.
Meanwhile should Iheanacho decides to quit the Premier League at the end of the current campaign, then his former boss Pellegrini will welcome him to China.
