Other exquisite features of the mansion include an open plan kitchen, four reception rooms, a gym, as well as a double garage.

The expensive house is located in the leafy Bowdon, Cheshire, an area where other Premier League stars as well as some of his Manchester United team mates live.

Rashford who grew up in Wythenshawe, Manchester, had been living with his mother and siblings in a rented £800,000 home in Hale, Cheshire.

A source said: “Marcus is thrilled to be buying his first property – it’s a major achievement for someone his age and he can’t wait to get the keys.

“The house is perfectly situated for him to be able to enjoy a quiet life but close enough to get to training.

“His family are very proud of him.

“It’s fair to say he’s come a long way in a short amount of time.”

The 19-year-old grew up in Manchester and got into limelight in 2016 scoring eight goals in just 18 games for United.

Although he has made his 50th appearance for the Red Devils, the player has found life difficult under Jose Mourinho, but the Portuguese manager believes he is a fantastic player.

“He is playing in almost every match, sometimes starting and coming from the bench.

“It’s been a great experience for him.

“He is a 19-year-old boy and, obviously, he has an amazing future,” Mourinho said.

Rashford is expected to start their FA Cup match on Sunday, February 19 away to Blackburn Rovers.
