Manchester United legend Roy Keane has branded Paul and Florentin Pogba’s brotherly show during the duo’s Europa League clash as "nonsense".
The biological brothers faced each other in a competition for the very first time as Manchester United defeated St. Etienne 3 – 0 at the Old Trafford on Thursday, February 16.
Paul and Florentin were seen chatting in the tunnel before the game as well as during half time as both teams walked towards the players’ dressing room.
In his response to Jacqui Oatley’s question on ITV's Europa League Highlights show if the brothers’ attitude bothered him, Keane charged: "Yes!
"The boy, Pogba, he's a bit of a free spirit, a bit of a character. But I think it was a little bit over the top tonight - before the game and at half-time.
"They've spoke more tonight than I have to any of my brothers [Denis, Pat and Johnson] in the last five years.
"It's all a bit strange. I think when the game started they were focused on the game.
"But all this stuff before and after the game, it's a lot of nonsense - but that's the modern player, I'm afraid."
United won the game 3 - 0 courtesy a superb performance by Zlatan Ibrahimovic who bagged a hat-trick to put Manchester United in vantage position ahead of the return leg scheduled for Wednesday, February 22.
