Kenyan athlete Rodah Jepkhorir who was the first female athlete to cross the finish line at the just concluded Lagos City Marathon says she would not mind marrying a Nigerian.

In a chat with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Jepkhorir who returned home with $50,000 added that due to their kind nature, she will walk to the altar with any Nigerian man who approaches her.

"If a Nigerian man should ask for my hand in marriage, I will marry him because Nigerians are nice people.

“Nationality is no barrier, so far he is committed and caring, I will have no option,’’ she said.

According to her, it is her first time visiting the country and she loved Nigerian movies where she has two favourite actors.

“Aki and Pawpaw are my best actors in Nigeria, I have so much love for the Nigerian movie industry,’’ the runner said.

Jepkhorir completed the 42km race in 2 hours 37 minutes and 52 seconds ahead of Fridah Lopeda Alice Timbilili. She also vowed to return to the country at any given opportunity.

“The race has given me the opportunity to come to my dream country, I will come over and over again."
