Born on November 10, 1996, Nigerian striker Ezekiel Bassey has completed a superb move from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Enyimba to Spanish giants Barcelona on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
The 20-year-old will spend more time with the B team of the Catalan side, but he is expected to train intermittently with the first team before the end of his loan with the Catalans.
If Bassey impresses the Barcelona's selectors, then he will join the first team squad permanently at the end of the season.

Bassey was said to have been tracked after the tour by Barcelona and a final decision to sign him was made on Thursday January 26, 2017 and flew out to Spain on Monday, January 30, 2017 after securing an emergency visa.

Ezekiel will now be the fourth Nigerian player that will play for Barcelona after the trio of Emmanuel Amunike, Gbenga Okunowo and Haruna Babangida who had featured for the Spanish giants.

Ezekiel Bassey closed friend at Enyimba Idris Aloma told NAIJ.com that the player is a man of good fashion who can spend lots of money on good outfit.
'' I was so glad when he told me that he was on his way to Spain because we were so close when I was at Enyimba, and I'm sure Barcelona have made the right choice,'' Aloma who now plays for Kano Pillars revealed.
