As desperate as Albion are in getting the player on loan, Watford FC believe club do not match the player’s evaluation.

The club have accepted an offer from Changchun Yatai of around £22million.

The 27-year-old is not replicating the same form he had last season having managed just one goal in 18 Premier League matches this season.

Recall that he found the back of the net 16 times in 37 matches in the 2015/2016 season to help his club remain in the English top flight.

Ighalo had twice rejected a bumper pay to play in China with the last being a 38million pounds bid from Shanghai SIPG.

He might now be tempted to move to China since his super eagles captain and team mate Mikel Obi now plays in the Chinese Super League.
