Wolverhampton Wanderers started the game with lots of finesse scoring the first goal in the first minute through Richard Stearman.
Andreas Weimann netted the second goal for the visitors in the 41st minutes as both sides went to the break with Wolverhampton leading.
Liverpool could not change their tactics in the second half as they failed to make use of all the chances that came their ways.
Divock Origi gave Liverpool fans some hope in the 86th minutes when he scored, but Wolverhampton Wanderers held on for an incredible win at Anfield.
