It was in 2009 that 36-year-old Venus last made it to a final, but she produced a mouthwatering performance in the semi-final of the 2017 Australian open beating fellow American Coco Vandeweghe 6-7 (3-7) 6-2 6-3.

The two American sisters will face each other in the Grand Slam final on Saturday, January 28, 2017 and it will be the first time since Wimbledon 2009 when Serena won in straight sets.
