Premier League leaders Chelsea have been reportedly ready to launch a bid of £56 million for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.
It was stated in the report that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has made the Chilean international star his main transfer target.
Conte was said to have spoken with the 29-year-old player on phone for the possibility of joining him at Stamford bridge this summer.

Before joining Chelsea, Antonio Conte and Arturo Vidal had a superb relationship for three seasons at Juventus as the pair won three Serie A titles together and the 47-year old Italian manager is now relishing the chance of working with the player again at Stamford bridge.
''He has extraordinary physical and technical attributes, if I get to coach him a little more it will be fantastic as I want him in my team,'' Conte explained.
Meanwhile, Chelsea's board have given Antonio Conte the green light to lure the player to England.
