After sustaining a crucial ligament damage on his knee on Saturday, January 21, 2017, Nigerian international striker Victor Anichebe has been reportedly ruled out for three months.
The 28-year-old Sunderland player sustained the injury while featuring for his side in their Premier League 2-0 defeat against West Bromwich Albion.

Anichebe who joined the Black Cats prior to the start of the current Premier League season has scored three goals this term for the club in 11 League appearances.
Sunderland boss David Moyes now has Jermain Defoe, Fabio Borini and 17-year-old Joel Asoro as striking options as the club currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League standings with 15 points from 22 games.
