I have not retired from football - Former Manchester United coach

Erstwhile Manchester United gaffer Louis van Gaal has explained that he has not retired from the game of football but currently on sabbatical until the summer.

Since leaving Old trafford in May 2016, the 65-year-old Dutch football manager has been out of coaching job fueling speculations that he might have retired from the round leather game.

Van Gaal during his spell at Old trafford won 54 games and drew 25 out of his 103 games he handled while managing Manchester United.

The former Barcelona coach said that he had turned down the opportunity to coach struggling Spanish club Valencia in December 2016.

''Whether I continue or not will also depend on the offers I get.

"I've coached many clubs and I think it's very difficult to improve on that level of clubs.

"It's not true that I've retired, not at this moment, but I'll decide at the end of my sabbatical, next June or July,'' he explained.
