You can go to China if you want - Wenger tells Debuchy

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has disclosed that right-fullback Mathieu Debuchy is free to leave the club in as much a right offer is made.

The relationship between the player and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has not been cordial in recent times due to the outburst of Debuchy in December 2016 claiming that Wenger stopped him from joining Manchester United last summer.

The 31-year-old Frenchman is now eager to leave North London and end a miserable 18 months that has seen him fall down the pecking order at the Emirates stadium.

An unnamed Chinese Super League club has been said to be interested in signing Debuchy, and Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is free to go only if a right offer is made.

''The door is not definitely closed, but it depends on the quality of the opportunities he will have, as he is free to go,'' Wenger explained.

Whilst many expect the former Newcastle United defender to leave the club, but it will cause some concern among st Arsenal supporters as it leaves the team with just one recognizable right back.
