The players of Taraba FC and Taraba Queens, on Monday stormed Taraba state government house to protest their unpaid wages.
According to the Premium Times, the players shut down activities at the government house in the state capital, Jalingo.
The players claim they have not been paid 21 months’ salary arrears from the Taraba State Government.
Security operatives had to be deployed to the government house to deny the players access into the building. The gate of the government house has since been shut.
The players vowed to spend nights there until they are paid despite being tear gassed.
This is the second protest the players have held in the last one month.
