Spanish giants Real Madrid have secured their passage to the final of the 2016 FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday, December 15 after beating Club America 2-0 in the semi-final duel.
Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo once again exemplified superb quality as his goal in the second half send the Spanish club to the final where they will face Kashima Antlers in the final on Sunday, December 18, 2016.
Real Madrid were superb in the encounter as they completely overpowered their opponents from the blast of the whistle till the final minute.
French forward Karim Benzema opened scoring just before the half time as both sides went to break with the European champions leading.
Club America came out with another tactics in the second half, but they were counter productive as Real Madrid went on to win the match with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the winning goal at the death.
Real Madrid have now extended their unbeaten run to 36 games in all competition.
