Nigeria's Super Sand Eagles have lost the chance to go top of Group A at the ongoing Beach Soccer AFCON holding at the Eko Atlantic City, Lagos.
The Sand Eagles played a 4 - 4 draw in their second group game against Ivory Coast who later went on to defeat them on penalties.
The first period ended 1 - 1 in an evenly contested period. The second period almost ended with Ivory Coast on the up as they led 2 - 1 with four minutes left to play.
Victor Tale however equalized with a long range stunner as the 2nd period ended Nigeria 2 - 2 Cote D'Ivoire.
In the third period Ivory Coast went 2 - 3 up but Abu Azeez levelled with a fine strike.
The fourth period ended 4 - 4 as the match went into extra-time and then penalties which Ivory Coast won 3 - 1.
The loss means the Eagles cannot top their group as Egypt defeated Ghana 5 - 4 in the other game.
