After winning the 2016 African Women Cup of Nations championship held in Cameroon with the Super Falcons, Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala has been reported to have turned down a marriage proposal from a fan who was impressed by her performance at the tournament.
Oshoala, 22, was instrumental for the Super Falcons of Nigeria scoring 6 goals to help her country win their 8th AWCON title after beating hosts Cameroon in the final on Saturday, December 3, 2016.
It was stated that a fan came to the pitch after Oshoala had been given her golden boots award and proposed to her, but the Arsenal Ladies' forward turned her down.
The fan whose name was not revealed was also said to have gone to the Super Falcons hotel after their final match against Cameroon, but Asisat Oshoala refused to grant him the audience.
Every men would love to have a successful women as their own, and Oshoala's case is not different as the forward is one of the best female strikers in the world.
