The dream of all the successful players who have made it to the top in football is for them to represent their countries where they would be seen and appreciated by their home faithfuls who have been of great support to them at their club sides.
Playing at the FIFA World Cup, European Championship, Copa America, Asian Cup and also the African Cup of Nations requires a player being called to the national team before such player can participate in any of these competition.
There are some great footballers who have been denied this, and here we take a look at six of them who never represented their countries.
